Executive

The Executive Secretaries serve as liasions between the Student Body President and different aspects of campus as well as Gainesville community. The 13 secretaries are selected by the Student Body President each Spring and confirmed by the Student Senate for the following year. The secretaries serve as both advocates for communities on campus and outreach specialist with Student Government. The positions change periodically as the needs of students evolve over the years at the University of Florida.

Agencies are government bodies that specialize in particular student needs on campus and within student government, such as voting, sustainability, and student entertainment. Each agency has its own staff, structure, and procedure for its specific focus area. They are supervised by the Student Body President. Every spring semester, agency heads apply and are selected by the executive branch to run the daily operations of each agency. Then, they are approved by the legislative branch before assuming their positions for the coming year.

The University of Florida Student Government consists of 4 divisions: Diversity, Leadership & Service, Student Life, and Transfer, which are all overseen by the Student Body Vice President. Within those divisions, there are 23 directors who oversee individual aspects of each cabinet. Overall, cabinets serve to provide programs and outreach to the student body.
