The SG Off-Campus Housing Relief Fund will be allocated to students that express a need for assistance related to off-campus housing costs and the impact of COVID-19. See below for relief guidelines.

Guidelines:

  • Awards will be based on documented expenses related to the disruption of off-campus housing costs due to COVID-19. Eligible applicants may be awarded up to $500 from the Off-Campus Housing Relief Fund.
  • Relevant documentation may include, but is not limited to, leases with pricing, termination paperwork, proof of application for unemployment, documentation of change in salary of dependent family, or any documentation showing changed circumstance due to the virus. If an applicant fails to provide relevant documents, it may adversely affect their application status.
  • You must be a University of Florida student who was enrolled during Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and/or Summer 2020 term as reported by the Office of the Registrar.
  • The overarching criteria in awarding funds will be determined by a student’s need. This could apply to a variety of financial costs directly tied to the effects of an emergency situation that is straining UF students. Applications will be reviewed based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, a student’s monthly rent, strain from the virus, change in circumstance, receiving funds from another grant program, an arising emergency situation, or a forthcoming eviction.
  • If you have received previous financial aid, it may impact your eligibility to receive an award. Unmet need during the financial aid year 2019-2020 will be evaluated in determining eligibility.
  • Please note: Awards will only be evaluated from an objective viewpoint, utilizing the aforementioned criteria.
  • Funds will be distributed through the UF Student Government Finance Office. We will work to distribute the funds as quickly as possible, but please be aware that it may take up to 45 days to receive the funds.

*UF credentials are required. You must log in to Google with your Gatorlink username (ex. Gatorlink@ufl.edu) prior to accessing the application. Learn how to access your UF Google account here.
