American sports television personality, radio host, journalist, and actor Stephen A Smith offers powerful and humorous lessons from the world of sports and beyond on adversity, leadership, building a personal brand, and ethics.

Known for his colorful catchphrases and thought-provoking analysis, Smith is a host on ESPN’s First Take, he’s an NBA analyst/insider on SportsCenter, and also hosts his weekly NBA show SportsCenter with Stephen A Smith.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Hollis Queens, Smith is the youngest of six siblings. Coming up from humble beginnings, he began his career in newspapers in 1993 at the New York Daily News and the Philadelphia Inquirer (1994-2010), before transitioning into television at CNN/Sports Illustrated (1999-2000) and Fox Sports (2001-2003). Smith ultimately landed at ESPN In October 2003.
The show will take place on Wednesday, July 27th at 7PM at the University Auditorium. You will not need to pre-register for this event, but seating is limited. The doors will open at 6PM. Students with a valid Gator-1 ID will have free access for this show. It is recommended to arrive promptly in order to secure yourself a spot.
