To kick off the spring semester, the students of ACCENT Speakers Bureau are thrilled to announce our upcoming show: “A Night of YouTube” starring comedy duo, Cody Ko and Noel Miller along with YouTube star, David Dobrik!
The event will consist of two separate shows on the evening of Wednesday, February 3rd on Zoom. The first show will take place at 6 PM where we will hear from Cody Ko and Noel Miller. The second show will take place at 8 PM where we will hear from David Dobrik. Students can register for the show via www.bit.ly/YouTubeAtUF with their UFL email address. On the day of the show, students who registered with their UFL email address will receive two separate links for each show. Both shows will consist of a 45 minute moderated conversation followed by a 15 minute Q&A.
Cody Ko has quickly established himself as one of the most sought-after young talents in Hollywood, having taken the worlds of both comedy and music by storm. After gaining popularity on Vine and later YouTube for his hilarious take on social behavior and commentary, he joined forces with long-time friend and collaborator Noel Miller to form the comedy duo Tiny Meat Gang. On screen, Cody was recently seen reprising his role in season three of Real Bros of Simi Valley, which premiered on Facebook Watch last year. Previously, Cody was nominated at the Shorty Awards for YouTuber of the Year and Forbes called him The Most Interesting YouTuber in the World. He has also produced content for well-known brands such as LG, Ford, Bud Light, Old Spice, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and more.
Noel Miller is a stand-up comedian, filmmaker & content creator. He’s also one half of the comedy duo Tiny Meat Gang alongside comedian Cody Ko. Together they took their podcast on the road and played to sold out crowds in Southern California, San Francisco and Phoenix. Noel originally started his career on Vine and is successfully moving and growing his audience across platforms like YouTube, Instagram & Twitch. Noel’s biggest passion continues to be comedy and directing, and with goals to continue touring his podcast and comedy act this year.
Cody Ko + Noel Miller, the members of Tiny Meat Gang, are proving they are true multi-hyphenates, doing a little bit of everything throughout the year: producing, writing, podcasting, touring, and even releasing their own music. In addition to gaining popularity for their 120m+ viewed YouTube series, That’s Cringe, the guys started the Tiny Meat Gang podcast in 2017, and since then, have taken their podcast on the road and performed in venues across the country. Their prestigious appearances include headlining performances at Just for Laughs, Outside Lands and the Nashville Comedy Festival. In 2019, TMG won best podcast at The Shorty Awards in NYC.
Additionally, the two have found a significant cult following for their original music. In June 2019, they released their latest hits Walk Man (a self-produced rap track) and Short King’s Anthem (a collaboration with hitmaker Blackbear). Walk Man recently crossed 15 million streams on Spotify and over 10 million on YouTube.
TMG has also produced content for well-known brands such as SeatGeek, Hinge, Old Spice, Honey & Bud Light.
David Dobrik is a digital star and TV personality known for making viral content on YouTube. With over 24.5 million subscribers across two YouTube channels and 12.3 million followers on Instagram, Dobrik has mastered the art of quick-cut content. Dobrik has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Today Show, Live with Kelly & Ryan, Good Morning America, GQ, Wall Street Journal and many others. With his widely popular social media presence and podcast, “Views,” Dobrik has elevated himself into international stardom.
Dobrik starred alongside co-judges Ciara and Debbie Gibson, in Nickelodeon’s series, America’s Most Musical Family in 2019, hosted the Teen Choice Awards and presented at the American Music Awards. David has won Shorty Awards for Vlogger of the Year, Breakout Creator, YouTube Ensemble and Podcast, he’s a multi-Streamy Award winner and in 2019, he took home the Kids Choice Award for “Social Star” and the Teen Choice Award for “Choice Web Star: Male.”
