Student Government Production’s first show of the year is here! Even though things are different this year, we’re still dedicated to bringing you amazing music experiences.
The show will kick off with Lucky Daye. Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, Lucky Daye is an R&B singer and songwriter. He got his start songwriting and singing backup for artists like Boyz II Men and Trey Songz. Now Lucky Daye has released 2 EPs and is best known for his tracks “Roll Some Mo” and “Late Night.” From growing up in a cult to surviving Hurricane Katrina, Lucky Daye incorporates storytelling and soul into all of his work.
Kaytranada, is a Haitian-Canadian artist that has exploded in the past few years due to his irresistible production, classic remixes, and live sets. As a solo artist, producer, and DJ, Kaytranada has spent years learning the music game and perfecting his beats. Now he tours the world, plays at major festivals like Coachella, and works with artists like Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa. His track “Glowed Up ft. Anderson .Paak” was coined Best New Music by Pitchfork following its release. Kaytranada’s songs “10%” and “YOU’RE THE ONE” have gained millions of streams this year.
