#IPledgeFlorida COVID Safety Pledge

I pledge to care for myself. I understand I can reduce my risk of COVID-19 exposure by frequently washing my hands, using hand sanitizer, wearing a mask or face covering, self-monitoring symptoms, and abiding by the trace program. Also, I will remain home if I am sick or awaiting a testing result.

I pledge to protect others. My community needs me to wear a mask or face covering, maintain physical distance, and stay home if I have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

I pledge to rise to the challenge. By taking this pledge, I commit to upholding the community standards and supporting my university by:

  • Carefully following public health guidelines in place to help protect myself and others
  • Avoiding high-traffic areas or situations where physical distancing isn’t possible to reduce the spread of COVID-19
  • Recognizing we are all on the same team and it will take all of us — acting responsibly and considerately — to overcome this public health crisis

I understand that by committing to #IPledgeFlorida, I am dedicated to keeping the Gainesville community in good health. I recognize that my actions play a direct role in helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

I pledge to do my part to promote safety, and a culture of care by working together with my community to ensure we are promoting a healthier future.
